Abstract
Mass-production methods are applied to a plant making a variety of things by concentrating for a definite period on one thing, making a supply for distribution over a certain length of time, and then turning the plant’s efforts to producing another type of product. This paper deals with the production control of a partly conveyorized plant of the Westinghouse Company where 1500 operators produce certain domestic and commercial heating devices.
